Data controller
The data controller is ALMA Acoustic, a music group based in Chiasso (Ticino, Switzerland). For any request about your data, write to info@alma.band.
What data we collect and why
- Browsing and statistics: when you visit the site we may collect technical data (pages viewed, device type, aggregate data) via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager and, to measure our Instagram and Facebook campaigns, via the Meta Pixel, only if you consent through the cookie banner. Details in the cookie policy.
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, we process your email address to send you updates about releases, shows and band content. Signup is voluntary; Substack may ask you to confirm it by email.
- Contact: if you write to us (email or forms), we process the data you provide to reply.
- Anonymous link stats: on the listen page we count clicks in an anonymous and aggregate way, with no cookies and without identifying you.
- CD purchase: if you buy the CD, we process the name, shipping address, email and phone number you enter in the Stripe checkout to send you the record and handle the order. See also the terms of sale.
- Server technical data: like any website, the servers of Cloudflare, which hosts the site, automatically log some technical data about visits (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) for security and to keep the site running. These logs are kept for a limited time and we do not use them to identify you.
Legal basis
We process your data based on your consent (newsletter and statistics/marketing cookies), which you can withdraw at any time, on the performance of the contract when you buy the CD, and on our legitimate interest in replying to your messages and keeping the site secure.
Tools and providers
To run the site and the newsletter we rely on providers acting as data processors:
- Substack (Substack Inc., San Francisco, USA): newsletter management and sending. The email you enter in the form is sent directly to Substack, which processes it under its own privacy policy.
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager): browsing statistics, only with consent.
- Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, Meta Pixel): measuring our Instagram and Facebook campaigns, only with consent.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc., San Francisco, USA): website hosting, content delivery and site security.
- Stripe: secure payment if you buy the CD.
- Bandsintown: concert dates shown on the site.
- WhatsApp (Meta): if you message us via the WhatsApp button on the booking page, the conversation takes place in the WhatsApp app, under Meta's terms and privacy policy.
- YouTube (Google): the show videos are hosted on YouTube; previews are served from our own site (no data sent to Google to display them) and opening a video takes you to YouTube.
Data transfers
Some providers (for example Cloudflare, Substack, Google, Meta and Stripe) may process data outside Switzerland and the European Union. Where this happens, the transfer is covered by adequate safeguards (such as the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
How long we keep data
We keep your newsletter email for as long as you stay subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link at the bottom of every email: from then on you receive nothing, but Substack may keep your address on its list of unsubscribed readers. If you want it deleted completely, write to info@alma.band and we will remove it. Other data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. For the newsletter, the unsubscribe link is at the bottom of every email. To exercise your rights write to info@alma.band. You may also contact the competent supervisory authority (in Switzerland the FDPIC, in the EU your national authority).
Cookies
We use technical cookies needed for the site to work and, only with your consent, statistics and marketing cookies. The full list is in the cookie policy and you can change your choices at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page.

We may update this policy over time. The version in force is always this one, with the last-updated date shown at the top.
